MD Rallye Sport enters 7 Optimus in the 2023 MDC

Joan Morel is looking forward to discovering the MDC as a team manager alongside his father. Among the 7 Optimus entered, he manages 2 crews full time, including a new one who will discover the world of rally-raid.

"Guillaume Dumarey is a young Belgian driver who comes from endurance racing, he is a novice with us. He will have Jean-Pierre Garcin as his co-driver who will be able to help him aim for performance thanks to his experience. The MDC is the ideal race to experience the rally-raid in all its splendour, due to its sporting level and the atmosphere on the bivouac. Accompanying new crews is a challenge that motivates us while seeking performance."

After a victory in 2019, MD Rallye Sport comes to defend its title even if the competition with Mathieu Serradori will be intense in the buggies. For this, the team will be able to count on the Belgians Erwin and Olivier Imschoot as well as on the experience of Jérome Pelichet and his co-driver Pascal Larroque. Simon Vitse, already winner of the TDC on his first participation, is also entered with co-driver Frédéric Lefebvre. Vitse is recovering from the Dakar that he unfortunately had to abandon on the 9th stage when he was aiming for the top 10.

"I'm looking forward to experiencing the MDC from the inside with this great team, we're both happy to be back on this rally and to compete hard for the best result!"
