We are proud to add a highly respected name to our organisation team. In four weeks’ time, Sébastien Delaunay (42), a top-level professional rally-raid navigator, will be responsible for validating the roadbooks for MDC 2026.
With 17 Dakar Rally participations, 17 seasons in the Rally-Raid World Championship and several international titles to his name, Sébastien is the ideal person for this role. He is still active in the World Rally Cup, where he competes with Dania Akeel in a Toyota Ultimate. In addition, he has written roadbooks for more than 15 international rallies and until recently he worked as sporting director for 2 other rallies in Morocco. Highly respected within the rally world, he brings along a lot of experience.
Sébastien is also very familiar with the Morocco Desert Challenge. He has taken part in the event several times, racing alongside Eric Van Loon (Can-Am / South Racing) as well as Jean-Pascal Besson in the Peugeot 3008 DKR.
Sébastien says:
“Being part of the MDC crew allows me to combine everything I love most: discovering the beauty of the desert, the pleasure of driving and the adventure of major rallies and the incredible vibe this rally is known for. Thanks to my many years of experience as a professional navigator, I have a strong understanding of the speed and performance of modern race vehicles. I pay great attention to my routes and roadbooks – this is what I am known for. Safety always remains my top priority. By joining the MDC family, I hope to create new opportunities for the riders.”
